Arbuckle will begin his new role on 12 June and will be paid A$400,000 (US$278,290) per annum, with incentives worth A$200,000 possible in both short and long-term periods.
The new Donaco CEO will be primarily based at the DNA Star Vegas Resort in Poipet, Cambodia, but will also work from the Aristo International Hotel in Lao Cai, Vietnam.
Before taking on his role at The Star Entertainment Group’s Gold Coast casino, Arbuckle spent five years at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore. He started as Vice President of Table Games before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Casino Marketing and Gaming Operations.
As part of the leadership transition, Benjamin Lim’s role as Interim CEO and Managing Director has concluded. The company’s former COO, Gerald Tan, has also left the business.
Paul Arbuckle said: "I am keen to roll up my sleeves and embrace the challenge at Donaco. With my substantial experience in Asia, I can see the potential for these businesses in serving customer demand from Thailand, China and beyond."
Stuart McGregor, Donaco Chairman, said: "Paul’s experience and expertise in gaming operations is critical to improving the performance of our casino operations in Cambodia and Vietnam. While these businesses continue to be profitable, the board has considered for some time they are not reaching their full potential."
