Dorchester Ballroom
ogaming have been announced as the headline sponsor for the inaugural BiG Sports Dinner.

The event, to be held at the Dorchester hotel, is billed as: "The only charity sports dinner in the betting and gaming industry".

Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming said: “The BiG Sports Dinner is a unique event within the gaming industry and we are privileged to be a part of it. As a company we are very passionate about sport and charity work, so the BiG Sports Dinner is a natural fit for us. We hope that the event will raise a substantial amount for GamCare and other worthy charities.”

The dinner will be held on 10 September, hosted by former England rugby star Austin Healy.

The BiG Foundation said: "He gives a lift and often a laugh to any after-dinner event. Austin is so outspoken (and often outrageous) that he has earned the nickname the Leicester Lip."

As well as raising money for charity, the event features two industry awards: Best Sports Betting Campaign and Best Use of a Sporting Star in a Betting Campaign.

BiG Foundation co-founder Richard Hogg said: "We have spent a lot of time and effort in getting the project this far. It is critical now for the industry to embrace the event and show their support with their attendance."

Other guests may include Petra Ecclestone, Harry Redknapp, Jason Leonard, Jamie Spencer, and two illusionists.
