GAN announces appointment of new CFO

By Iqbal Johal

GameAccount Network (GAN) has announced the appointment of Karen Flores as CFO to start effective immediately.

Flores will be in charge of finance, strategic planning, treasury, tax and accounting, based at the supplier's offices in Irvine, CA.

The new CFO has 20 years of experience in financial management, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis at Alorica.

Prior to that role, she served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Maker Studios, overseeing a revenue increase from $2m to more than $200m during her time at the company.

GAN CEO, Dermot Smurfit, said: "We are pleased to welcome Karen to our leadership team as we continue working toward obtaining a US listing as soon as reasonably practical.

"We believe Karen’s experience and skillset will prove invaluable to our financial and strategic planning as our business growth continues to accelerate.

"The entire leadership team at GAN looks forward to working closely with Karen, who will be a critical part in helping us achieve both short and long-term goals."

The appointment follows last week’s news that saw GAN record a year-on-year gross operator revenue increase of 189%, to $120.8m, for Q4 2019; as well as a 95% increase in active player days.
