Fitzdares to launch WhatsApp sports tipping service with broadcasting legends

Bookmaker Fitzdares has announced plans to launch a WhatsApp sports tipping service featuring a trio of famous sports commentators.

The punditry service will be titled ‘WhatSport’ and will be run through voice notes on the WhatsApp mobile app.

The service will be led by football commentator John Motson, horse racing pundit Cornelius Lysaght and cricket broadcaster Sir Geoffrey Boycott. The trio share over 100 years of experience in broadcasting.

Those who sign up to the service will receive a short piece of analysis from one of the commentators on their chosen sport for the following weekend’s sporting timetable.

William Woodhams, CEO of Fitzdares, said: “At Fitzdares, we strive to do things differently for our members and we think social media has reached a point of saturation in terms of the market for punditry and opinion.

“WhatsApp creates a far more intimate environment and we are sure our members will appreciate the personal touch of hearing directly from some of the most treasured voices in sport via their smartphones.”
