ICE Africa 2020 moves online

Set to take place between 27 and 29 October, the new online event – now labelled ‘Bounce Back Beyond Tomorrow’ – will be supported by a series of reports, features and video content leading up to the conference. A networking platform will also give delegates the opportunity to meet virtually to discuss key market developments.

Additionally, content will for the first time be made available in both English and French, reflecting Africa’s large Francophone population.

Africa has seen its own set of challenges across the continent due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, significantly impacting how our customers can do their jobs and achieve their goals. We’re committed to doing anything we can to help our audience during this tough time, said Clarion Events commercial director for Africa, Richard Stubbs.

The conference is a free-to-attend trade show where participants will also get access to training sessions delivered by the Totally Gaming Academy, allowing registrants to learn from industry experts at a time when COVID-19 is causing significant disruption to the traditionally successful verticals across Africa.

Women in Gaming’ will remain on the Clarion agenda, with the ICE Africa Women in Gaming campaign also running digitally this year, continuing to highlight the diverse contributions made by women throughout the African gaming sector.

The ‘in-person’ ICE Africa is scheduled to return next year September at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
