BetConstruct Q&A: "Live casino is a mirror to the future of the gaming industry"

By Tim Poole

Vahe Balayan, live casino product owner at BetConstruct, speaks to Gambling Insider about the supplier's Live Casino Studios, which aims to build clients a live casino studio from scratch in 30 days.

Can you tell us more about your Live Casino Studios product?

BetConstruct’s Live Casino Studios as a product goes hand in hand with our proprietary software. This winning combination allows us to build live studios from scratch and deliver the solution to partners within a month or so, ensuring they get everything they need, from the construction of branded dedicated halls to the development of dedicated games or even integration of data feed. Following the first few partnerships, we now know for sure that we not only manage to provide high quality but do it incredibly fast.

Building a live studio from scratch or providing dedicated tables is not the only offering we have now. Using our experience and technologies, we turn a land-based casino into a live studio, helping businesses expand their online presence and diversify revenue streams. This became a top priority during the coronavirus pandemic.

Along with these solutions, we offer a large variety of live games representing different cultures, from traditional Blackjack to Russian Poker and Bet on Teen Patti. Yet the game portfolio is constantly growing. The latest additions are Russian Poker, Switch BJ and Live Hi-Lo. Simultaneously, we are working on our old and popular games. Recently, we have redesigned BlackJack and added Swift and Aurum Roulettes to the portfolio.

With Live Casino Studios, BetConstruct will build a studio in 30 days. How long would it normally take an operator to launch a live casino from scratch?

Launching a live casino without the help of an experienced provider is like sailing without a compass. It is tiresome and requires lots of resources, that’s not news. The software is the backbone of a live casino operator’s success. However, it is only one of the multiple components. They have to spend time and money on the studio space, staff, construction and so on, meaning this may last months and require lots of investment. Meanwhile, with us, they will have the chance to focus on the operation and promotion of their live casino because we will take care of the rest and provide ready-to-launch solutions as soon as possible.

During the first months of the pandemic, we received a request from a partner to create for them a live studio in a month. Well, the challenge was accepted. It was, indeed, very difficult, seemed almost impossible, but now I can assure you that we can build a live casino studio even faster without compromising quality.

Which markets will your Live Casino Studios be available in?

BetConstruct’s live casino product, the studios and most of our live games are licensed by both the Malta Gaming Authority and Gambling Commission, meaning that our solutions are available in all the markets covered by these licenses, such as UK, Germany and Malta. We are currently working towards licensing the rest of our new games as well, so that we can help our partners expand their footprint across the globe.

How important is live casino as a source of revenue within the gaming industry right now? Have you found that live casino has grown during the pandemic?

I believe since live casino became popular, it has been regarded as a mirror to the future in the gaming industry, and this is proved by the constantly growing numbers recorded by the industry leaders.

This growth has become more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when, besides the total lockdown around the world, almost all major sports events were disrupted.

The pandemic showed live casino is one of the most important revenue streams in our industry right now, and I have no doubt that an enormous increase of prominence and significance is yet to come.
