Kambi signs sports betting partnership with RWWA
By Iqbal Johal

The long-term partnership will see Kambi provide its sports betting technology and services to RWWA, who will upgrade its current sportsbook offering through the agreement, across its retail outlets and online brand TABtouch.

RWWA, the state-run racing authority responsible for Western Australia’s Totalisator Agency Board (TAB), will be able to take advantage of Kambi’s sports betting services to complement its existing racing wagering product.

The racing authority, with a network of more than 320 retail agencies, also distributes profits gained through its wagering business to support the racing industry in Western Australia.

Kambi CEO Kristian Nylén said: “This is an important strategic partnership for Kambi. The agreement underlines Kambi's ability to configure our technology to meet the needs of any operator and regulated market, and we are excited to play a crucial role in driving RWWA's online and retail success.

RWWA CEO Ian Edwards added: “As the organisation which funds the state's racing industry, RWWA is focused on maximising its profits through the Western Australian TAB in the long-term interests of the industry, and we believe this partnership will help drive greater results.”

The agreement builds upon Kambi’s global partnerships, which includes signing a long-term partnership with Netherlands casino operator JVH gaming & entertainment last month, ahead of the online market launching in the country later this year.

While earlier this month, the sports betting supplier said it expects its Q4 2020 revenue to rise by up to 80% year-on-year, up to between €46m ($55.9m) and €48m.
