The agreement is the first interstate online poker deal to be implemented in the US, with the development confirmed to PokerNews by operator WSOP.com's head of online poker Bill Rini to PokerNews.

The pooling will be between WSOP.com and sites powered by fellow operator 888 Holdings for the time being, the same two operators that began sharing online poker liquidity in New Jersey in January.

Three separate online poker brands operate in Delaware and all feed into one player pool.

A date has not yet been set for the launch of AAPN Nevada, 888’s network, which would share some players with WSOP Nevada and pool players with Delaware’s single online poker room.

888 released its financial results for 2014 yesterday, in which it mentioned the “anticipated launch of [a] Delaware and Nevada interstate compact”.

The interstate online poker agreement was signed by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Delaware Governor Jack Markell in February 2014.

Online poker revenue in Delaware totalled $27,695 in January, down 70% year-on-year, while Nevada stopped reporting online poker revenue in December after being reduced to two operators in November, when Ultimate Poker ceased operating in the state.
