NFL partners with Sportradar US

National Football League (NFL) has announced that Sportradar US, a subsidiary of sports and betting related data supplier Sportsradar AG, is to become the exclusive distributor of NFL statistics to digital outlets from the beginning of the 2015 regular season.

Real-time scores, player statistics and play-by-play data are among the pieces of data that Sportradar US will distribute, as well as the NFL’s proprietary Next Gen Stats.

The Next Gen Stats include real-time, location-based data such as speed, acceleration and distance travelled.

Sportradar US president Ulrich Harmuth said: “Coming right after our decision to rebrand SportsData as Sportradar US, this deal is an important milestone for our company and in particular underlines our commitment to securing a leading position in the US sports data market. We are thrilled to partner with the NFL in developing a completely new data category that will boost the fan experience as well as improve how the NFL and its partners interact with their fans.
