The result? Fines worth a total of $284,000, as well as two non-monetary enforcements.

The consent agreements include a $150,000 fine for Boyd Gaming – for failing to disclose facts relating to the suitability of a principal.

Boyd Gaming did not “properly notify the PGCB of all pertinent facts regarding the reasons for the surrender of a principal’s licence in 2020, thereby hindering the board’s suitability determination.”

Operator of Hollywood Casino, Mountainview Thoroughbred Racing Association, also received two fines – totalling $120,000.

One was for allowing a self-excluded patron to gamble and become intoxicated, which led to “subsequent” damage to vehicles as the patron drove through the casino’s parking garage.

The second fine was for not preventing circumvention of licensing requirements.

In addition, the Valley Force Convention Center Partners was fined $14,000, for allowing a 20-year-old to gain access to the casino floor and gamble at table games.

Sugarhouse HSP Gaming’s approved consent agreement referred to an incident from 2020, where someone had left two children in a parked vehicle at the Rivers Philadelphia Casino parking lot.

The individual was placed on an involuntary exclusion list in February 2021; this case also led the board to review how incidents of unattended children were being handled at that casino.

The last consent agreement resulted in VGT licences being surrendered due to fines; VGT venues Snow Shoe Travel Place and Pit Stop Travel Plaza received no fines but had their licences removed.
