During the raid of a house on Song Kwai Road, Immigration Bureau (IB) police seized the men alongside six desktop and notebook computers, ten ATM cards, and 19 bankbooks. Police also found 200 grams of marijuana on the premises, with the arrested Lopburi natives aged 36 and 22.

The raid was led by immigration police commissioner Pol Lt Gen Sompong Chingduang, who said the suspects admitted to working with the gambling website gothambetvip, and handling THB10m-THB20m ($313,500-$627,000) per month in bets.

Pol Lt Gen Sompong Chingduang noted that online gambling hosts have recently been hired by foreign gambling networks, operating in several locations along the western border in Tak, one of Thailand’s 76 provinces.

Local IB officers meanwhile have been ordered to be vigilant regarding such illegal activities by foreign nationals, following the arrest of 53 foreigners on Sunday.

The Crime Suppression Division police raided six resorts in Mae Hong Son for allegedly running a multi-million baht call-centre scam. Chinese nationals accounted for 40 of the 53 suspects, with 12 coming from Myanmar and one coming from the Philippines.
