Genius Sports partners with DraftKings to fuel sports betting environment
By Gambling Insider

The Boston-based operato has been selected as one of the tri-exclusive official sports betting partners for the National Football League season, aligning with Genius Sports in a multi-year agreement over data.

"Being selected by DraftKings, one of the most prolific sportsbook brands in the US, is another historic achievement for Genius Sports," said Mark Locke, Genius Sports' CEO.

The deal provides DraftKings with exclusive sportsbook data around the NFL, as Genius Sports is the official rights holder of the information.

"Our customers are at the forefront of all we do and we are always working to better their experience and our products," said Ezra Kucharz, CBO at DraftKings.

"The mutually beneficial terms of this agreement allow us to leverage Genius' technology for years to come. We are excited to expand on the capabilities of our products and provide new and exciting features for our customers like single-game parlays, while having confidence in the integrity of the data we utilise to fuel our offerings," he added.

As part of the agreement, DraftKings will also gain access to Genius Sports' proprietary, official data and live video feeds from over 170,000 events per year, including its official NFL data products, content and player acquisition, and retention solutions.

With this partnership, the operator will expand its official sports data portfolio, allowing customers access to secure, authorised, and official data from NFL leagues such as the English Premier League, Liga MX and NASCAR.

Users will be able to wager on new competitions, including Argentine and Colombian soccer, and the American Hockey League.

DraftKings will also deploy BetBuilder, Genius Sports and Sportcast's fully automated single-game parlay solution for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and other soccer competitions.

"With Genius, DraftKings and the NFL working together on official sports data, we will help create a highly engaging, secure and sustainable sports betting environment for fans to enjoy," commented Christopher Halpin, NFL Chief Strategy & Growth Officer.

The London-based data and tech firm also struck an NFL deal last April and is allowed to distribute real-time play-by-play statistics and the league’s Next Gen Stats (NGS).
