Pariplay welcomes Joey Hurtado as new games division head
By Gambling Insider

The aggregator and content provider owned by Aspire Global has brought the iGaming veteran on board to spearhead the strategic development of its in-house games studio and proprietary content.

“Joey brings the sort of experience and deep industry knowledge that will prove invaluable as we implement our growth strategy for proprietary games content,” said Adrian Bailey, Managing Director at Pariplay.

“I look forward to working together as we continue to make rapid progress in an ever-increasing number of regulated markets.”

Coming from Gamesys where he worked as the Head of Product Operations for the last two years, Pariplay hopes Hurtado will empower its games division as a “distinctive business unit” and deliver greater value to the company’s partners.

Hurtado also held positions at 888 Holdings, Unibet Group, GVC (now Entain) and Betsson, where he was the Managing Director of operator brands including Casino Euro, Norges Automaten and Suomiarvat.

Commenting on this latest appointment, Hurtado said: “It is a privilege to be joining a company with a well-earned reputation for excellence in both aggregation and the production of its own high-quality in-house content.

“My goal now is to use my own industry experience to drive forward Pariplay’s games development strategy, so that we can put our titles in front of as many eyes as possible around the world.”

This development comes at a crucial juncture for the company as it strives to make bigger inroads into regulated markets worldwide.

Earlier this year, the company partnered with Rush Street Interactive, launching its content in the US.

To date, Pariplay’s games are live and certified in more than 15 regulated jurisdictions including the UK, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Romania and Germany.

The company also holds B2B licenses in New Jersey, West Virginia, the UK, Malta, Gibraltar, Romania and Greece.
