Allwyn joins Justine Greening’s Levelling Up Goals
By Gambling Insider

The British arm of the Czech-based SAZKA Group, billed as Europe’s leading lottery operator, will develop a ‘Levelling Up Impact Report’ to map its activity in line with the initiative’s 14 goals.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Sir Keith Mills and the team at Allwyn on its levelling up work and helping the organisation have maximum impact on communities across the UK,” said Greening, the social activist and former Secretary of State for Education.

“Allwyn takes the standpoint that lotteries should drive considerable social value and it has a real chance to spread opportunity through its work. The Levelling Up Goals are now used by a variety of organisations and provide a clear benchmark to measure progress against. Only by working together can we truly achieve the ultimate aim of a levelled-up UK.”

Co-founded by Greening, the Levelling Up Goals look to promote social mobility by bringing together businesses, public sector organisations and universities.

They focus on key life stages, from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood, in an attempt to provide a better standard to track progress.

Commenting on the company’s partnership, Sir Keith Mills, Bid Chairman of Allwyn, added: “At Allwyn, we make lotteries better so that they can serve as a force for good. Through the Levelling Up Goals architecture, we look forward to working closely with Justine Greening, her team and the other committed businesses and universities on this joint ambition to make a positive impact to our communities.”

This comes at a big time for Allwyn as it pushes to become the UK’s National Lottery operator during the fourth National Lottery licence competition currently being held by the Gambling Commission.

The current operator, Camelot, has run the National Lottery since it was established in 1994.
