NBA legend Kevin Garnett named BetMGM’s newest brand ambassador
By Dominic Marius-Markham

The joint venture between Entain and MGM Resorts will see the 15-time All-Star basketball player round out its already stacked roster of sporting personalities as Garnett becomes the most recent addition to its ambassador program.

Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, commented: “Kevin Garnett brings a unique energy to everything he does, on and off the court.

“As the basketball season tips off, we look forward to welcoming Kevin to the BetMGM family and working with him on a variety of fan-focused promotions.”

Since retiring from pro-basketball, Garnett has emerged as an established entrepreneur, having created the gamification and content platform, Gaming Society, with Players’ Tribune co-founder Jaymee Messler.

During his 21-season NBA career, the Hall of Fame power forward played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets, being named the 2004 Most Valuable Player and earning Defensive Player of the Year honours in 2008.

He also appeared in the Oscar-nominated 2019 film ‘Uncut Gems’, which has a heavy focus on gambling, and is set to appear in new documentary, ‘Anything is Possible’, scheduled to premiere on Showtime on 12 November.

Despite being shielded from sports betting during his NBA career, Garnett is now passionate about making wagering more accessible and approachable to all sports fans and athletes.

“I’m thrilled to be working with BetMGM to share their insights with my fans,” said Garnett. “It’s a natural fit for both myself and BetMGM given our mutual desire to stay on top of the ever-changing sports business landscape.”
