iSoftBet marks Movember with €10,000 donation

Movember is an annual event held each November that encourages the growing of moustaches (hence its name) to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and male suicide. This year, the iGaming supplier set several internal activities for its employees to complete in support of the charitable initiative.

Led by ultra-runner Steve Sammut Nurminen and in partnership with MeridianBet, a 5km run in Malta formed the main event of the month. MeridianBet also made a donation to local Malta charity Dar Bjorn.

“iSoftBet is a great commercial partner and we really value their corporate agenda. It is such a meaningful initiative we’ve collaborated on which allows us to support local charity Dar Bjorn,” said MeridianBet’s Head of Operations Stefan Pavlovic.

“Catering to people with ALS, MS and other neurological conditions and aiming to improve the quality of their lives, Dar Bjorn is a truly special cause that deserves all the exposure we can bring to it.”

But iSoftBet didn’t stop there. The supplier appointed two ‘Mo’ ambassadors to grow the most impressive facial hair they could, and gave smaller rewards to other employees that wore moustaches to internal meetings or who went for free medical check-ups.

Nir Elbaz, iSoftBet’s CEO, commented: “Movember is truly a leader in the global fight against health issues faced by men, and its work couldn’t be more important as we recover from one of the most challenging periods in living memory.

“We’re thrilled to be supporting such a worthwhile cause as we approach the festive period and would like to thank our employees for their contributions and support over the past month — we couldn’t have done this without you.”
