Wynn Macau to award employees January bonus
By Gambling Insider

All eligible Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace team members, representing 97.8% of the company’s 12,000-strong workforce, will be awarded a “special allowance” equivalent to one month’s gross salary to be paid on 28 January.

In a statement Wynn Macau said this is “to show the company's appreciation to all team members for their collective efforts during the past challenging year.”

“With the exceptional level of loyalty, commitment and discipline demonstrated by all Wynn team members, the company has been able to ensure the continuity and enhancement of its renowned service culture and hospitality standards, and helped to protect the health of all colleagues and Wynn guests,” added the East Asian casino operator.

Wynn Macau also noted that its staff have been highly responsive to the city’s vaccination programme, with over 90% of the company’s workforce now jabbed.

It said: “The vaccination rate for Wynn team members has now reached 94.2% which will help to build herd immunity for the community.”

Similar bonuses have also been announced by other companies with operations in Macau. Galaxy Entertainment will issue a “one-off special payment” for “eligible team members at senior manager grade and below.” This is expected to cover 97% of staff.

Likewise MGM China will pay a “one-time discretionary allowance” to eligible employees, while Sands China will award a “discretionary allowance” to “more than” 25,000 full-time team members.

This announcement came after Macau reported its second case of the new Omicron variant.
