DraftKings to become official sportsbook provider of Oregon Lottery
By Gambling Insider

As detailed in the agreement, DraftKings Sportsbook will replace the current Scoreboard app on 18 January, with existing customers able to transfer their funds to an account with the new brand at that time. Following a similar agreement with the New Hampshire Lottery in 2019, this represents the second exclusive lottery deal signed by the company to date.

Paul Liberman, Co-Founder and President, Global Technology and Product at DraftKings, commented: “DraftKings is thrilled to embark on this journey with the Oregon Lottery, as we build out a coast-to-coast presence with our top-rated online sportsbook, for these fans to experience ahead of the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl.

“The Oregon Lottery shares our innovative spirit as one of the most progressive organisations in the real-money gaming sector, and together we look forward to delivering the exceptional online sportsbook products Oregonians have been anticipating.”

Barry Pack, Director, Oregon Lottery, said: “We’re excited about the improved experience for our players – including the ability to make same-game parlay bets. DraftKings is a premier provider in the US. We see benefits for lottery, too, as the shift to DraftKings means fewer third-party service providers and a simpler financial structure for player accounts.”

Until the switchover date, Scoreboard customers will still have access to the current app and the functionality contained within. After that time, only transaction history and account information will remain, while users will have six months to withdraw or transfer any remaining funds.

As part of the new DraftKings platform, the operator has made an ongoing commitment to responsible gambling, providing Oregon bettors will built-in tools, such as deposit limits, cooldown breaks and other self-restrictions.
