Delasport appoints Filippo Ferri as new Chief Compliance Officer
By Gambling Insider

The company, which produces advanced technologies and systems solutions for the iGaming and online sports betting industry, has appointed Ferri in a show of commitment to achieving success within the global regulated market space.

Oren Cohen Shwartz, CEO, Delasport, commented: “We are very pleased with Filippo joining the management team. His vast experience in compliance and regulatory affairs is a great addition to propel Delasport’s strategy to rapidly expand its global reach.”

Ferri has worked in the online gaming industry for over 16 years, and will bring a wealth of compliance expertise to the new role at Delasport. He previously supported local European and LatAm regulators in defining regulatory frameworks within local jurisdictions for Gaming Laboratories International, NMi Certin and BMM Testlabs.

As CCO of Maxima Compliance, he championed the outsourcing of compliance services to fuel the international expansion of the companies he worked with.

Commenting on his appointment, Ferri said: “I am thrilled to join Delasport as its outstanding proprietary sports betting platform, built by true veterans of the iGaming industry, pursues rapid expansion across more regulated markets. I am honoured to form part of the team that will take the company to new heights and will work tirelessly to make sure compliance will be an instrumental component of its growth.”

In his new role, Ferri will oversee all licensing requirements related to casino operations and online sports betting, as well as ensuring business compliance and risk management processes run smoothly.

This is the third high-profile managerial appointment by Delasport over the past 12 months.

In January 2021, it appointed a new CFO, Alon Pasternack, to oversee financial growth, while Shwartz was appointed as the new CEO last August.
