Caesars Sportsbook launches mobile sports betting in Louisiana
By Gambling Insider

The product, now live in 10 states across the US, carries the Caesars Sportsbook branding and comes with a special launch offer to entice customers to sign up immediately. If bettors place a $20 wager, they receive $300 in free bets, regardless of whether they win or lose.

With three other betting operators launching their online sportsbooks on the same day – DraftKings, FanDuel Group and BetMGM – the special offers are likely a tactic to persuade customers to sign up with Caesars instead.

In additional to special offers, customers can also take advantage of Caesars Rewards, a loyalty scheme aimed at rewarding bettors with hotel stays, food and drink coupons, cash bonuses, and gaming opportunities.

Eric Hession, Co-President, Caesars Digital, commented: “Launching our Caesars Sportsbook app on the first day mobile sports wagering goes live in Louisiana is a big moment for our legacy in the state. Louisiana sports fans have shown us their passion for sports betting every day since the opening of our Caesars Sportsbook locations at Harrah's New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City.

“Our mobile app is ready to bring fans closer to the sports they love while offering the very best in rewards.”

The operator’s online launch complements its existing sports betting offerings, with retail sportsbooks implemented at Harrah's New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City in October 2021.

Caesars already has a deep-rooted connection with Louisiana, having struck a deal to rename the New Orleans stadium as Caesars Sportsdome, over 20 years ago.

The company also recently spent $325m on transforming its New Orleans property, Harrahs, with a full renovation and rebranding undertaken.
