IGT signs five-year contract extension with Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation
By Peter Lynch

The contract extension will see the delivery of an enhanced version of IGT’s INTELLIGEN video lottery central system, and will run for five years following the final acceptance of the upgraded system.

Under the terms of the extension, MBLL’s video lottery central system will be upgraded to the latest version of INTELLIGEN, which includes improved network diagnostics. Furthermore, MBLL will receive several iLINK Ultras, IGT’s “latest retailer site controller that has a separate point-of-sale device and logic box for increased flexibility, and an updated user interface with improved features for the retailer,” a statement from IGT read.

IGT deploys its INTELLIGEN system worldwide, connecting a range of video lottery terminals (VLTs) in a variety of gaming environments. “The software is built on IGT's more than 25 years of central systems experience and offers stable, secure command and control capabilities,” IGT noted.

Moreover, it connects almost 6,600 VLTs throughout Manitoba, while the company also provides MBLL with commercial casino cabinets and IGT PlayCasino games.

“With IGT's enhanced INTELLIGEN system, MBLL can easily access insight into the status and performance of its VLT network,” said Nick Khin, IGT SVP and COO, Gaming.

“Developed to respond to the unique needs of our customers, INTELLIGEN supports the volume, complexity and security MBLL needs to operate its thousands of VLTs located throughout the region with confidence and efficiency.”
