Recruitment push for Raw iGaming in new Malaga studio
By Gambling Insider

Keeping with an ethos of cutting through a "sea of Sameness" through the innovation of game engine, SuperSlice, it is investing in a new game studio in Malaga, Spain, to continue its development of slot games.

To coincide with the opening of this new studio, Raw, which was founded in March 2021, has opened up a number of roles within the company such as Lead Artist, Senior Artist, Senior Animator, Head of Platform, Senior Software Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer and Senior Game Client Developer.

Before settling on the chosen venue for the new game studio, the management team considered several locations but found that the Andalicía region and, in particular Malaga, covered everything it was looking for.

It believes this new studio will allow for employees to further push boundaries and reach their full potential.

Henrik Fagerlund, Raw iGaming COO, said, “Malaga was the right choice for us with its great infrastructure, close access to a major airport and being one of the top cities in Spain. The region is already seeing many high-profile companies establishing their presence here, which is in line with wider ambitions for the area to become the ‘Tech hub of Southern Europe.’”

Malaga was decided on partly because of the respected universities in the region and the fact it already houses several established iGaming companies, as well as in neighbouring Gibraltar.

Because of this, it was considered a positive location for talent acquisition.

Fagerlund continued: “Of course, the lovely climate, the lower cost of living and quality of life is another great benefit for our employees.”
