MGM Resorts and BetMGM double down on responsible gambling commitment
By Gambling Insider

MGM Resorts and BetMGM, which was formed through a partnership between the former and Entain, have partnered with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation since 2017.

Through this partnership, the operators are able to incorporate GameSense into their betting platforms, which provides customers with information about responsible gambling, also allowing them to set betting limits and get help if needed.

To coincide with Problem Gambling Awareness Month in March, the two operators have joined forces with the National Council on Problem Gambling to further reiterate their responsible gambling commitment.

Bill Hornbuckle, CEO & President, MGM Resorts, commented: “As we enter our fifth year with GameSense, we remain focused on offering new and innovative resources to our guests, designed to increase responsible gaming awareness and to promote healthy play.

“GameSense remains an instrumental part of our guest service model and we're confident that it has, and will continue to, make a difference.”

Additionally, MGM Resorts has placed interactive QR codes throughout its casino floors, offering access to responsible gambling information and GameSense educational materials. The operator has recently expanded its employee training program by certifying 180 new GameSense Advisors across its venues.

In March, BetMGM will also integrate the GameSense system into its gambling platforms, allowing the operator to promote and encourage responsible gambling online, as well as in MGM Resorts’ casinos.

Adam Greenblatt, CEO, BetMGM, said: “Our industry is expanding at a rapid rate as more markets legalise sports betting, and we're committed to growing the right way. It is important to empower and educate our customers, and the enhancements we've invested into GameSense within BetMGM provide the best information and guest services for players to bet responsibly.”

MGM Resorts and BetMGM had already made previous commitments to responsible gambling, by joining the American Gaming Association’s ‘Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly’ campaign.
