The regulator’s licence approval was all that remained for Bragg to complete its acquisition of Spin Games, a deal it now expects to close in the next few weeks.

Bragg entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Spin Games, an iGaming supplier headquartered in Nevada, last May, placing a $30m price tag on the deal.

Spin holds licences in several key regulated US markets, including New Jersey, Michigan, Connecticut and, of course, Pennsylvania.

Its acquisition was key to Bragg Gaming’s US ambitions and having now secured a licence, it is clear to close this deal, which should take place later this month – largely in line with Bragg’s timeline as disclosed last December.

Yaniv Spielberg, Chief Strategy Officer for Bragg, commented on the PGCB’s licence approval and Bragg’s plans for the future.

“We appreciate the PGCB’s staff members’ diligence in reviewing our licence application and thank them for the approval to enter Pennsylvania’s iGaming market,” said Spielberg.

“Reflecting this licence approval, we look forward to completing our acquisition of Spin Games in the next few weeks.”

He added: “We are ready to begin operating in several US markets very quickly following the completion of the acquisition later this month.

“We expect the Spin Games and our RGS (remote game server) combined offering will deliver the benefits of our advanced player engagement, data tools and platform technology alongside Spin Games’ US market content and operator relationships.”
