By Louis Thompsett

Planned updates to the New Jersey casino include the development of over 460 hotel rooms & suites, a new gallery, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

Ocean’s new hotel rooms & suites are expected to cost in the region of $72m and will be available from 1 July 2022.

The new 463-square-foot rooms, called Contemporary Blu, will feature a beach-inspired aesthetic, alongside a marble-floored bathroom and an oversized shower.

Ocean Casino’s new suites will include dining areas, wet bars, a lounge and a freestanding soaking tub.

Furthermore, the casino’s new Gallery Bar Book & Games will command an additional $5.2m and feature a 100-foot bar, video poker, blackjack, roulette tables and 140 feet of LED walls.

This new Gallery Bar will be connected to Ocean Casino’s pre-existing Balcony Bar by a 17-foot staircase, a mezzanine bar that acts as the casino’s sportsbook hub.

In terms of food and beverage offerings, Seredipity3 will be making its debut in Atlantic City on 1 June as it begins its latest expansion out of New York City.

Other food and beverage additions include a Starbucks, Asian restaurant Zhen Bang, and wine and spirit-tasting experiences.

The General Manager for Ocean Casino Resort, Bill Callahan, said: "Ocean is committed to providing the best guest experience in Atlantic City.

"Between our new hotel product, the addition of The Gallery Bar, Book & Games, and various new food and beverage outlets, there will be more reasons than ever to come to Ocean this summer."
