WSOP Circuit to return on 20 July
By Gambling Insider

On Wednesday 20 July, following the conclusion of this year’s World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, the event will get underway at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma.

This will be the first of many stops on the tour, of which 25 have thus far been scheduled. A further 10 will be announced in the coming weeks on WSOP.com.

“The World Series of Poker is back with the circuit returning in just short of a month,” said Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, Ty Stewart.

“With record-breaking attendance so far this summer, we expect a huge response to the full-scale return of our regional mid-stakes tour.”

While many venues will be familiar to fans of the circuit, there will be one new stop at the Grand Victoria Casino in Chicago, alongside the return of two “heritage” stops; Harveys Lake Tahoe in Nevada and Caesars Southern Indiana, the latter of which also happens to be the tour’s final destination.

Most stops will begin on Thursdays, with the four-day Main Events set to start on the second Friday of the tournament.

After Choctaw Casino Resort, the circuit will come to Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina on Thursday 4 August, and then return to Oklahoma on 17 August, coming to Hard Rock Tulsa. The tour will run through 22 May 2023.

Any winners of either the live or online circuit will qualify for the Tournament of Champions event during next year’s World Series of Poker.
