The DEI is a joint initiative of the American Association of People with Disabilities and DisabilityIN.

In last year's index, Caesars received a score of 80, which has promptly ascended to 100 – something the company is understandably keen to highlight as a sign of its disability inclusion policies. 

In other recent Caesars news, as reported by Gaming America, the operator has launched its Caesars Racebook app in Kentucky, the sixth state in which the app is now available.

Tom Reeg, Caesars Entertainment CEO, said: "At Caesars, we are committed to embracing disability inclusion as a key facet of our overall Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy.

"We consistently review current practices concerning disability inclusion, and we're honoured to be recognised with a top score on this year's Disability Equality Index. We know how important inclusion is and we will continue to work toward progress for our team members, guests and the communities in which we operate."

Reeg was formerly CEO of Eldorado Resorts, before the historic US deal that saw Eldorado merge with Caesars. The Eldorado management remains the driving force of the organisation, although the company understandably kept the Caesars brand name.

"The increase in our score from last year indicates the hard work our team has put in to make Caesars a welcoming workplace for everyone. We look forward to continuing our work in this area and welcoming more diverse Team Members to the Empire."
