Macau to reopen leisure facilities starting 2 August
By Gambling Insider

All results from the 14th round of nucleic acid testing (a type of viral diagnostic test that detects the virus) throughout the city were negative, which has led to the reopening of leisure facilities, such as beauty parlours, gyms, dine-in restaurant and other food and beverage establishments.

All the above-mentioned facilities, and many others, will be open to the public starting 2 August.

According to the previous Executive Order, all locations including cinemas, theatres, indoor amusement parks, saunas, health clubs, bars and nightclubs, swimming pools and any other place that permitted indoor gatherings had been closed to the public.

To gain entry into any facility, customers will have to wear a face mask and present proof of a valid negative test result done within the prior three days.

Macau health authorities are to publish a detailed guideline with all relevant requirements in the coming days.

The Special Administrative Region of Macau’s Government (MSAR) has released a statement to thank the public for its understanding, support and cooperation during the lockdown, as well as regarding the anti-Covid-19 measures implemented starting with 18 June.

The MSAR Government asks the public to continue to respect the new measures, so that Covid cases can hopefully remain at zero.
