Stats Perform named Official Data Partner of Rugby League World Cup
By Gambling Insider

The company will participate in this year’s Rugby League World Cup (RLWC2021) as “Official Data Partner” for the re-arranged men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions.

In this capacity, Stats Perform will supply data to support the World Cup and its partners in creating experiences for rugby fans across “media, brands and sponsors.”

Opta data and statistics will power the RLWC2021 social channels, where they will be used to determine the competition’s top-performing players.

Stats Perform will also create preview and post-match packs for the clubs and media ahead of every game, giving commentators full use of Opta data in what it called a “time-efficient way.”

“We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Rugby League World Cup 2021 and be a part of powering the first Rugby League World Cup that encompasses the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions within one tournament,” said Steve Xeller, Chief Revenue Officer at Stats Perform.

He added: “This deal is yet another milestone in Stats Perform’s commitment to supporting the expansion of the sport across the globe.”

Jon Dutton, RLWC2021 Chief Executive, cited Stats Perform’s “longevity and reliable history” as reasons for its selection.

“The RLWC2021 is committed to making a real impact in communities,” he said, adding: “Stats Perform have been appointed as our official data supplier, due to their longevity and reliable history in the industry.

“I look forward to working with them as they help us deliver the biggest, best and most inclusive Rugby League World Cup in history.”
