The new licence adds to its portfolio in the US, where GCT holds over 120 in Tribal and non-Tribal casinos, and is present in over 20 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota and Washington state.

The GCT CEO, Andrew Cardno, commented on the new licence, saying: "We are very proud to hold so many gaming licenses throughout North America. Holding over 120 gaming licenses is both an honor and a privilege. When casinos are looking for a trusted partner, they need to look no further than GCT as we have proven over the past eight years that we are a highly reputable company with the utmost integrity."

Last month, Pennsylvania announced it had seen record gambling revenues in the past year, which totalled over $5bn. The increase was mostly driven by online casino games and the easing of pandemic restrictions, meaning people could head back into casinos again. The figure was 30% higher than the previous year, which – despite restrictions – brought in $3.9bn.

So far, Pennsylvania has reported a 1% increase for July 2022 on 2021, indicating the state could be in for another record-breaking year come its annual report in July 2023.

The eastern state became one of the first to legalise gambling in the US and has been pushing New Jersey as the second biggest gambling state in the country, after Nevada.
