The figure, from the Nevada Gaming Control Board, is an 8% decline from July’s total of $1.31bn. It is, however, the 18th successive month in which revenue for the Silver State has reached over $1bn.

Table, counter and card games represented $361.4m of total revenue, with slot machines representing the other $847.1m.

Clark County revenue led the way with $1.02bn, with Las Vegas Strip revenue amounting to $659.7m. The figures are down 9% and 15% respectively from July 2022.

Revenue for Clark County Downtown Las Vegas’ all non-restricted locations for August 2022 was $63.9m, with Clark County North Las Vegas reporting a figure of $23.2m. Washoe County and Elko County reported totals of $93.1m and $32.3m respectively.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board also reported revenue figures for both the three months ended 31 August 2022 and the 12 months ended 31 August 2022.

For the three months ended, Nevada revenue amounted to $3.8bn, with a $1.28bn and $2.52bn split between table, counter and card games and slot machines respectively.

And for the 12 months, revenue for the Silver State was $14.62bn, with table, counter and card games and slot machines reporting figures of $4.81bn and $9.81bn respectively.

The 18th-month run of over $1bn in revenue has undoubtedly put the Silver State back at the very top when it comes to the world’s leading gambling hub, particularly amid the struggles that Macau is currently facing.
