Adesso partners with Fennica for new Finnish platform
By Matthew Nicholson

Fennica is a subsidiary of Veikkaus, the government-owned national lottery company, and the target of the partnership is to integrate eInstants into LotteryForce – Adesso’s iGaming platform.

Furthermore, the pair want to penetrate the international lottery market with the new platform, which will be presented for the first time at the World Lottery summit in Vancouver on 16 October.

Joni Hovi, SVP at Fennica Gaming, said of the new deal: “We want government-owned lottery companies around the world to benefit from the special features our eInstants offer to their customers.

“Throughout the platform integration, we were won over by the excellent technical expertise and high level of specialist knowledge shown by our partner. Working closely with a player of Adesso’s stature – a company that has been operating successfully in the international lottery business for many years – makes us feel confident about marketing our product to government-owned lotteries.”

In other Finnish news, Veikkaus announced that gamers will no longer be able to play slot machines between the hours of 9am and 9pm.

Susanna Saikkonen, the organisation’s VP of Sustainability, commented on the move: “Veikkaus wants to offer the opportunity to go to the store without being able to play on the slot machines.”

“Veikkaus also offers customers the opportunity to completely prevent their own playing on slot machines. The locks can be switched on, for example, via Veikkaus’ web service or our customer service.”
