GGPoker launches Road to WSOP Europe 2022
By Gambling Insider

Between 10 October and 11 November, multiple online poker tournaments will take place, offering players the opportunity to qualify for this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe Main Event.

To enter a direct satellite, players will have to pay at least €250 ($243), while to enter a step satellite, they will have to pay at least €25.

Throughout the series, meanwhile, several higher buy-in events will take place. For €1,050, players can compete in one of multiple tournaments which each boast a €10,350 guarantee.

Moreover, victory at one of these will see players secure entry to the Main Event. This is scheduled to start on Friday 11 November at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, a municipality in the Czech Republic.

The premier tournament has a €5m guarantee. Last year’s champion was Czech player Josef Gulas, who beat French competitor Johan Guilbert.

“WSOP Europe is the continent’s most prestigious live event, and we’re happy to give players the chance to snag their place at the €5m guaranteed Main Event via the Road to WSOP Europe,” said John Scanlon, Director of Live Events & Sponsorships at GGPoker.

“We expect a big GGPoker squad to make it to King’s Resort for this, and fight it out for the gold and the glory!”

This announcement comes shortly after GGPoker and WSOP launched an online poker room in Ontario. WSOP.ca went live earlier this month, available to players in the Canadian province.
