Azerion completes acquisitions totalling €12m
By Peter Lynch

Azerion stated: “The acquisitions include Vlyby Gmbh, a fast-growing ad tech company focused on programmatic video advertising and self-service publisher solutions, as well as a number of asset deals consisting of full monetisation solutions for digital publishers in Italy (TakeRate) and France.” The group noted that these acquisitions generated approximately €14m in revenue in 2021.

The aggregated paid consideration includes up to approximately 50% cash payment, with the remaining balance settled through an Azerion ordinary shares consideration, with 785,540 treasury shares being transferred to the selling shareholders. The acquisitions were completed at the end of the third quarter of 2022.

“Our M&A pipeline remains strong, as demonstrated through this latest round of acquisitions,” said Azerion Co-CEO Atilla Aytekin.

“With every new integration we are delighted to see the Azerion platform growing ever stronger and improving the way we are able to satisfy the needs of our customers and partners. We will continue working actively and selectively on strategic M&A opportunities to complement our organic growth.”

In January 2022, the digital entertainment and media platform partnered with MediaMath in a bid to “do for gaming what Walmart and Amazon have done for retail media.”

The agreement means that brands and agencies can reach the group’s audience within its own ecosystem and within the supply chain of MediaMath, an independent demand-side platform.

A publicly-traded company listed on Euronext Amsterdam, Azerion was founded in 2014 by two Dutch entrepreneurs.
