Sycuan Casino Resort and The Arc of San Diego organise event for employees with disabilities
By Gambling Insider

For the last decade, Sycuan and The Arc of San Diego have teamed up, in an effort to employ individuals with disabilities as environmental services technicians in charge of providing guests with a clean and safe gaming environment.

This event was held to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a national campaign meant to raise awareness about disability employment issues and celebrate all contributions of workers with disabilities from all over America.

In 2021, The Arc of San Diego organised an event that provided training and support to over 400 individuals with disabilities. The Arc of San Diego is a group providing services for people with disabilities in San Diego Country and it has partnerships with over 100 local businesses, municipalities, and government agencies that employ individuals within their sphere of interest.

Rob Cinelli, General Manager at Sycuan Casino Resort, commented: "We are proud to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month and honour our team members for their valuable contributions.

"At Sycuan, we are committed to cultivating a thriving, positive and inclusive work environment for all our team members. We'd like to thank The Arc of San Diego for their partnership and dedication to our community."

Matt Mouer, COO of The Arc of San Diego, added: "We want to thank Sycuan for partnering with us to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Partners like Sycuan, who value inclusive work environments, assist The Arc in empowering people with disabilities to achieve their career goals."
