Altenar attains licence to enter the Netherlands
By Louis Thompsett

The Netherlands represents a niche space in the market, akin to the Italian, Spanish and Swedish markets, according to Altenar.

These markets represent regions where regulations and certifications are subject to change, meaning there could be space for further growth for the company.

Given the Netherlands only regulated gambling in 2021 with its Betting and Gambling Act, Altenar says its team has taken time to ensure operators using its software will be able to do so legally, in line with necessary regulatory requirements.

Altenar adds the Netherlands market can benefit from its widget technology and other features, given the country’s history of producing arcade-based games.

It will supply the Netherlands with familiar forms of betting in newer and more accessible forms through the iGaming space.

On its entry into the Netherlands, an Altenar statement read: “It’s from a strong core of adaptability that Altenar has been able to secure its foothold in the Netherlands market, but it’s also an attribute to what Altenar has to offer.

“With 24/7 support, an always improving risk management system, top-tier sports content and a dedication to innovation, Altenar’s sportsbook is set to take the Netherlands by storm and you can go along for the ride by contacting Altenar’s passionate team today.”

In August this year, Altenar entered a strategic partnership with Nexiux Solutions, which now offers a fully managed sportsbook solution provided by Altenar.
