That'll do pig: Bacon Nation opens at the D Las Vegas

If this doesn’t see fans streaking to the D Las Vegas, the restaurant also offers reverse BLTs and boozy milkshakes. Weaved bacon takes the place of bread in this twist on the classic BLT. 

The producer of these pounds of pork is Downtown Hospitality Group (DHG), which offers bacon for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  

The menu of this bacon bonanza is sizzling with 13 different varietals, including lemon pepper, tajin, black truffle, chocolate, black pepper, jalapeno, barbecue, honey sriracha and bagel flavour (yes, really). 

The bacon-brimming menu was created in collaboration with Las Vegas Chef Josh Green, who has previous experience in the establishments Skinny Fats, Greens and Proteins, and Strip restaurants. Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef Charlie Palmer are also involved.  

Bacon Nation Co-Founder Abe Taylor said: "As long-time proponents of downtown Las Vegas' growth and development, we couldn't have thought of a better partner in this project than Derek Stevens and the D. 

"We're excited to create a new 24/7 concept for the area and look forward to showing our guests a fun atmosphere paired with an exceptional menu."
