ACMA investigations found nine services that were operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Website blocking represents just one of a range of enforcement options meant to protect Australian players against illegal online gambling.

The latest sites that were blocked include Winning Days, 21Bit Casino, Oshi Casino, Lucky elf Casino, NeoSpin, Lets Lucky, Boho Casino, Ripper Casino and BC.Game.

ACMA’s first-ever blocking request was made in November 2019 and, since then, 642 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked.

Additionally, over 180 illegal services have been taken off the market in Australia since ACMA started enforcing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017.

According to ACMA, gambling enthusiasts should be aware that certain services might look legitimate, but they are unlikely to have important customer protection rules and regulations. This means that Australian players who use such illegal gambling services risk losing their money.

Australians can check whether a wagering service is legal and licensed to operate in Australia on a register found on ACMA's official website.
