Rush Street Interactive opens two new offices in Colombia
By Louis Thompsett

The operator says this is to support its continued expansion in LatAm and grow its RushBet brand in Colombia and Mexico, where it also operates.

Rush Street’s new 8,000-square-foot Bogota office will serve as a headquarters for its LatAm operations team.

The office features a multimedia wall for watching live sports around the office, while an in-office basketball court functions as a place of work for the company’s marketing team.

Furthermore, conference rooms are poker-themed, a production set is in place to simulate a stadium, lamps throughout the building resemble casino cards and the cafeteria is a replica of RushBet's sports bars.

Meanwhile, Rush Street’s new Medellin office has expanded the operator's technology hub, which will house a new team to support the company’s global technology platform.

Rush Street says it chose Medellin for its hub because of the local government’s investment in the “Valle de Software” initiative.

This initiative is designed to create a software valley by attracting IT businesses and training students from LatAm universities to become future professionals in IT fields.

Medellin already has a strong business base, with over 163,000 companies operating in different sectors. Rush Street says this will help provide it with a “vast” network of partners and suppliers.

Rush Street CEO Richard Schwartz said: “We are investing in the region’s future and recognise the importance of earning the trust and respect of the communities where we operate.

“It’s important to have the brightest and strongest local teams to execute RSI’s ambitious growth strategy.”
