MGM Resorts placed on CDP’s A-List for its environmental achievements
By Robert Collins

It has secured a place on CDP’s esteemed A-List, joining the likes of L'Oréal, Mercedes-Benz and many other internationally-recognised brands.

MGM Resorts Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer Jyoti Chopra commented: “This marketplace recognition by CDP is a reflection of our ongoing strategic prioritisation of sustainability across our business operations and supply chain.

“We are fiercely committed to corporate environmental leadership and continuing our efforts around water stewardship and the fight against climate change."

Based on CDP’s 2022 Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires, MGM Resorts is one of 57 companies to achieve a double-A rating on climate change and water security. This is all the more impressive considering 15,000 were scored.

CDP uses a detailed and independent methodology to assess companies, rating them on a scale of A to D-minus. They are judged based on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks and demonstration of best practices regarding environmental leadership.

CDP Global Director of Corporations Dexter Galvin commented: “Environmental transparency is the first vital step towards a net-zero and nature-positive future. In a year of ever-increasing environmental concerns around the world.

“As CDP continues to raise the bar on what qualifies as climate, forests and water leadership, we hope to see the ambitions and actions of companies on the A-List – and those wanting a place on it – do the same."
