Ben Koff appointed Mount Airy Casino Resort COO and General Manager

The appointment, at Pennsylvania’s first AAA Four-Diamond casino and premier adults-only resort, is pending approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The venue is located in the Pocono Mountains.

Koff, who has a Master’s in Business Administration from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Illinois, joins the group with more than 16 years of experience in the gaming industry.

His roles in marketing, finance and operations have seen him work for Caesars Entertainment, Golden Nugget, Carnival Corporation, sbe Entertainment Group and most recently the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in Mississippi.

Koff will manage all aspects of the casino and resort’s operation, which includes gaming, guest services, human resources, financial performance and sales and marketing.

Mount Airy noted that as strategic leader, he will uphold the group’s brand standards, and will work to exceed guest expectations through personalised service.

“Ben’s wealth of expertise in the gaming and hospitality industries, coupled with his passion for exceptional service, make him an invaluable asset to lead our executive team,” said Mount Airy Owner and Managing Trustee Lisa DeNaples.

“We are pleased to welcome Ben to the Mount Airy Team and look forward to all he will accomplish as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager.”

The luxury property, which has almost 1,700 slot machines, 80 table games and its own sportsbook, is celebrating its 15th anniversary through October 2023.

Also in Pennsylvania this week, Churchill Downs Incorporated’s (CDI) wholly-owned subsidiary Presque Isle Downs & Casino has entered into a multi-year agreement with a wholly-owned US subsidiary of bet365 for online sports betting and iGaming market access in the state.
