The deal will see US Integrity use its technology to identify and analyse unusual wagering activity, thereby assuaging any doubts held by the AGCO about the sport’s betting patterns. Furthermore, it will be applied to all of the UFC’s events – including its up-and-coming TV shows.

The UFC had originally been banned by the AGCO following suspicious betting patterns, with the regulator telling operators to stop accepting bets on the fighting competition.

However, the AGCO has now lifted the ban – meaning bettors in the Canadian province can place wagers on the fighting competition.

Riché T. McKnight, EVP & General Counsel of UFC, said of the ban being lifted: “Throughout this process, we have had productive discussions with the AGCO to address the concerns they expressed to their operators.

“We have made enhancements to our UFC Athlete Conduct Policy to more clearly express the prohibition against any UFC athlete from placing any wagers directly or through a third party on any UFC match, including placing wagers on themselves.”
