By Gambling Insider

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will rebrand The Water Club as the MGM Tower and has signed off on a $55m redesign.

The MGM Tower will offer more than 700 guestrooms and suites in the centre of Atlantic City.

Corey Sanders, MGM Resorts International COO, said: "Introducing the MGM Tower connects Borgata with the unparalleled entertainment and resort experiences MGM Resorts is recognized for worldwide.

“We are incredibly proud of Borgata and its team of employees, and we believe this significant reinvestment will drive visitation to Atlantic City well into the future."

The remodel will be inclusive of the entire hotel, including public areas such as the reception and hallways.

The MGM Tower rooms will be available to book at the beginning of April, with the project aiming to be completed by 29 May.

Travis Lunn, the resort's President & COO, said: "As we approach the resort's 20th anniversary, we are more committed than ever to remaining a leader in hospitality and entertainment by continuing to evolve the Borgata experience.

"We look forward to sharing our new vision with Borgata's incredible guests in the coming months."

As well as a remodel of the rooms, the MGM Tower will also present a new area on the 32nd floor of the Tower, where the Immersion Spa once was.

The 9000-square-foot space has been completely redesigned with the intention of hosting events.
