The aim is to improve user experience by upgrading the user interface, making it easier and safer for players to access the content. Premier Lotteries’ focus was also on improving the buying experience for draw and instant win games.

Furthermore, the website will also have a mobile upgrade, helping to provide a ‘more robust buying option for players.’

Will Whitehead, Commercial Director of Mkodo, said of the deal: "Through discovery workshops, Mkodo worked collaboratively with PLI to enrich the Lottery's web and mobile sites. Presenting PLI and its customers with this reimagined approach has resulted in an intuitive user experience that makes ticket purchases more efficient and secure."

Meanwhile, Stephen Reid, Head of Digital Products for Pollard Banknote, added: "PLI is committed to giving our players an exceptional lottery experience. Our new website emphasises player protection while improving the overall user experience.

"Thanks to Mkodo's support, we're confident these new enhancements provide exciting, next-level ways to engage with our products in the digital realm."

The news comes after Pollard Banknote posted its Q4 results, which showed it made $482.3m in yearly revenue – a 5% increase on last year.

Furthermore, it posted an adjusted EBITDA of $80.5m, which is 4% down on 2021’s results. Also, net income dropped 2% on 2021 to $19.3m.

In the report, the company noted that its continuing investment in its iLottery platform and game content ‘positively situate us to take advantage of future iLottery opportunities.’
