Crab Sports signs deal with Internet Vikings to enter Maryland
By Gambling Insider

In July 2022, Crab Sports and Internet Vikings signed an agreement to collaborate in Maryland to start online sports betting by the end of the same year.

According to the agreement, Internet Vikings will offer its cloud hosting services to Crab Sports.

Rickard Vikström, Founder & CEO of Internet Vikings, said: “Entering the promising Maryland market is an immense opportunity for both companies.

"The US is one of the more recently opened and in-demand iGaming and online sports betting markets in the world. Both large multinational corporations with deep-rooted gaming history and brand-new startups are aiming to gain a share of the American market. Participants need to be agile to carve their share.

“When there is the next state launch forecasted, it is crucial to prepare to enter in advance before your competition is already there. That is why Internet Vikings invest in establishing its operations to be ready for clients from the very first day of each new US state launch and this is a strategy we will continue in the future.”

Derek Baker, one of the Ffounders of Crab Sports, said: “As a startup company, it’s important to us that our partners are agile and willing to collaborate to find solutions. We have already made some tweaks to our hosting requirements since signing our agreement and the IV team has been excellent in working with us to accommodate our needs.”

Internet Vikings also recently announced it expanded into New York and Mississippi.

Vikström said of that deal: "It was paramount to Internet Vikings to extend its offerings to the Big Apple. However, it exceeded my expectations."
