BetGames receives licence to launch Twain Sports in UK
By Gambling Insider

BetGames has received a number of licences from the Gambling Commission (GC), allowing it to offer real and virtual events betting.

In addition to this, the fixed-odds betting supplier will be able to offer its portfolio of games to any licensed UK operator.

The first product to hit the UK market from BetGames will be Twain Sport, a Lithuanian hybrid sports project that provides traditional games such as basketball or football.

However, the games are played between only two athletes on separate courts with the aim to outscore one another.

As the games are only 60 seconds long and available 24/7, the potential turnover for these games can reach 1,440 matches per day or 43,200 per month.

Both T-Kick and T-Basket variants also offer eight-player tournaments, which last for one hour in a custom-built arena.

A total of 14 tournaments can be held from both sports each day, with hopes that the project can create a competitive environment for people to bet on high-frequency live sports.

BetGames hopes the high number of games will prove popular in the low-stakes environment of the UK betting market.

Andreas Koeberl, BetGames CEO, said: “Our mission has always been to offer unique iGaming products.

“With Twain Sport, we have something truly special for the UK market – high-turnover sporting action that’s the perfect cross-sell for sports betting and casino fans.”

Previously, BetGames has been issued both Gambling Software and Casino Host licences by the GC.
