NCPG announces Spring 2023 Agility Grant winners
By Gambling Insider

Agility Grants, a key NCPG project, provides money to non-profit groups to support initiatives to reduce problem gambling. These awards aim to support promising initiatives in current programmes as well as fill in gaps for regions that do not currently have such services. More than $1m will be given out over three years under the Agility Grant programme to start and grow problem gambling prevention initiatives across the country.

Keith Whyte, NCPG Executive Director, said: "Prevention is the most cost-effective, common-sense way to mitigate gambling-related harm. The prevention programs supported by this round of Agility Grants demonstrate innovative models designed to reach priority populations and elevate new voices within the problem gambling prevention community. We proudly support these initiatives and hope they will serve as models for future prevention efforts."

Clare Graff, NFL VP of Social Responsibility, said: “We’re proud to support the innovative work the NCPG is doing through their Agility Grant program to address problem gambling in a multitude of ways.

“The funding for these Agility Grants through the NFL Foundation will provide critical resources to non-profit organisations across the country who are on the front lines of problem gambling prevention.”

Spring 2023 Agility Grant funding will support Hispanic Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program (UMADAOP), The National Alliance on Mental Illness – Maryland Chapter (NAMI-MD), and The Nevada Council on Problem Gambling, among others.

Every year, there are two financing rounds where Agility Grants are granted.
