Incognia launches its geolocation solution in the US

Incognia has launched its geolocation, compliance and account security solution in the US-regulated market.

The system also protects player accounts against takeover fraud and satisfies jurisdictional requirements. The company claims that Incognia is ‘tamper-resistant,’ highlighting that Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) had worked to help develop the product to fully review the accuracy and accuracy of the geolocation solution.

As part of the tests, the GLI stated that the solution “was able to detect any attempt to alter location data and accurately respond to the valid location data it received.”

André Ferraz, CEO and Founder of Incognia, stated: "We are thrilled to bring several decades of combined experience building location technology to the growing US iGaming and Sports Wagering market.

“In addition to providing a more precise and resourceful geolocation compliance solution, we look forward to arming operators with a proactive fraud prevention signal that automates the use of location data and greatly reduces the need for manual fraud investigations.”

Incognia has launched at a time when geolocation solutions are becoming increasingly relevant in the US, as the rollout of sports betting continues state-by-state.

For the Super Bowl, a record 100 million geolocation checks were conducted by GeoComply across 23 US states and the District of Columbia across the weekend. This represented a 25% increase from last year’s Super Bowl weekend, while GeoComply registered 7.4 million accounts this time around, up 32% from last year.
