Pragmatic Play teams up with 10bet: Spaceman game debuts in South Africa
By Lucy Wynne

IGaming brands Pragmatic Play and 10bet have debuted crash game, Spaceman, in South Africa.

Spaceman is a crash game meaning the longer you hold out, the higher your chance of return, but simultaneously it increases the chance of risk and losing it all.

Spaceman gives you an opportunity to win up to $500,000 via a 5,000x multiplier and also offers a 50% cashout feature. The 50% cashout feature allows players to secure their winnings for half their bet and continue with the remaining funds towards higher but riskier rewards.

Even though this is the first time people will be able to play the game in South Africa, the game was originally released on 24 March 2022.

The optimal Return To Player (RTP) is 96.5%. The winnings and the duration of your gaming session depend on the decisions you make.

Spaceman is also a multiplayer game where players can watch each other's actions and engage in chat. The game also includes active social features, such as leaderboards and a chat function, to increase player engagement even further.

The agreement with 10bet sees Pragmatic Play strengthen its relationship with markets in Africa, following similar expansions in Europe and LATAM.

Irina Cornides, Pragmatic Play COO, said: “Spaceman is a beautiful game with uniquely engaging mechanics and hugely appealing social features.

"Pragmatic Play is committed to bringing its diverse range of player-favourite games to regulated markets across the world, including in South Africa, where we expect Spaceman to take off with 10bet players.”
