By Gambling Insider

Melco Resorts & Entertainment has announced that four of its restaurants have received Michelin stars in the recent Star Revelation ceremony.

For the fifth year in a row, the fine dining restaurant Jade Dragon was awarded the full three Michelin stars for the year and French cuisine Alain Ducasse at Morpheus was given two.

The Canontese restaurants, Pearl Dragon and Ying, have been awarded one Michelin star each.

Mr. Lawrence Ho, Melco’s Chairman and CEO, said, “We are honoured to receive this wonderful recognition from Michelin Guide Hong Kong Macau.

“The awards emphasize Melco’s continued efforts to contribute to Macau’s advancement as a world centre of tourism and leisure, as well as the city’s role in the global culinary scene as a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy.

“We owe the honours to our culinary and F&B teams for their commitment and hard work.”

The Michelin Star process involves Michelin Inspectors visiting a restaurant at least once every 18 months, with either four or ten visits needed to earn another star respectively.

The inspector will judge the restaurant on its quality of products, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, the personality and passion of the chefs, potential harmony of flavours and solid consistency across visits.

Ho continued: “Through new and innovative world-class and diversified offerings, Melco will strive to push boundaries as we continue to attract and welcome guests and visitors to our properties in Macau and beyond.”

Earlier this month, Melco also announced the latest developments of its indoor water park and branded hotel.
